The privacy policy of British Sea Kayaks is simple. Your data will never be shared with anyone without your prior consent. 

Legal requirement

Since the 25th May 2018, British Sea Kayaks is required by law to obtain your permission to retain your information. Your details are kept in a safe manner and they will only be used for our mutual benefit. I will remove it if you specifically ask me to do so.

Data we may collect from you

To comply with the regulations we are required to inform you of what data we hold and how the data is handled/stored. For the purposes of our trading relationship with you we may be holding the following information:

  • Address & Delivery Addresses
  • Contact Telephone Numbers/Fax Numbers/Email addresses
  • Bank Details (in some cases)
  • Trading History (products, prices)
  • Images, video, voice recordings

Purpose of data collection

Data is gathered from prior trading activities and ongoing business and may have been received verbally, in writing or electronically. It is stored on our own computer system at our secure offices and on secure cloud-based record systems. It is encrypted and protected.  All data held is used only for the purposes of our business activities. We will only give any of your data to third parties if you ask us to, or we are legally obliged to. Any data we pass on will be in accordance with the GDPR and GPA guidelines.

Personal data may include audio-visual data recorded during the course of coaching sessions or assessments. The purpose of these digital records is to support the high-quality coaching offered and to retain evidence of assessment outcomes.
