At British Sea Kayaks we take personal privacy very seriously. We take great care to keep our own data safe and secure and will always take equal care of any data that may relate to you. We will never share information about you with anyone else, including via social media platforms, without your consent.

Privacy Policy for British Sea Kayaks under GDPR

From 25th May 2018, British Sea Kayaks are required by law to obtain your permission to retain your information. We keep your details in a safe manner and they will only be used for our mutual benefit. If you do not approve of us retaining the information that you have already given to us then please let us know and you will be deleted from our database immediately. Due to the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which takes effect from 25 May 2018 we are required to inform you of what data we hold and how the data is handled/stored.  This will ensure we are compliant with the new regulations.

Our privacy policy

For the purposes of our trading relationship with you we may be holding the following information:

  • Address & Delivery Addresses
  • Contact Telephone Numbers/Fax Numbers/Email addresses
  • Bank Details (in some cases)
  • Trading History (products, prices)

The data is gathered from prior trading activities and ongoing business. It may have been received verbally, in writing or electronically. The data is stored on our own computer system at our secure offices and is encrypted and protected.  All data held is used only for the purposes of our trading activities. We will never give any of your data to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so or you request we do so. Any data passed onto these parties will be conducted within GDPR guidelines and will only be data relevant to our trading activities.

We will only hold the minimum amount of data required and when the data is no longer required for our trading purposes it will be deleted/destroyed securely.
